Saved Looks

A Look saves your chart configuration and filters so you can reload them instantly — similar to Saved Views on the Insights page.

What a look saves

  • Chart type (Bar, Line, Area) — or Table for a table-only look (no chart config required)
  • X column, Y columns, and Group By selection
  • X and Y axis labels
  • Custom series colors
  • Stacking and percent view toggles
  • Active dimension filters
  • Parametric controls — date range, granularity, and selected locations (only the ones the query supports)
  • Current view mode (Table or Chart)
  • Custom SQL text (if the look is based on a custom query)

Table-only looks

You don't need a chart to save a look. While in Table view, click Save As and the look is stored without chart configuration. Loading it later restores the table view, filters, date range, granularity, and locations.

Saving a look

  1. Configure your chart and filters the way you want
  2. Click Save As in the looks toolbar
  3. Enter a name (e.g., "Revenue by Region — Stacked Bar")
  4. Click Save

Loading a look

Select a saved look from the Looks dropdown at the top of the results panel. All chart settings and filters update to match.

You can also load a look via URL: append ?look=<id> to the Reports page URL. The view mode is included too: ?look=<id>&view=chart.

Updating a look

If you've loaded a look and changed the configuration, a dirty-state indicator appears next to the look name. Click Save to overwrite the existing look with your current settings.

Deleting a look

Open the Looks dropdown, find the look you want to remove, and click the delete icon. A confirmation dialog prevents accidental deletion.

Sharing

Because look IDs are encoded in the URL, sharing is as simple as copying the page URL. Anyone on your team with access to the same query will see your saved chart configuration and filters.

tip

Looks are scoped to a specific query. If you switch queries, the looks dropdown shows only looks saved for that query.
